Head Office (Coquitlam, B.C) Tamlin International Homes Ltd. was established in 1977. The company is based in Coquitlam, British Columbia and is 100% Canadian owned and operated. Our brand new post and beam head office provides us with the perfect place to meet clients and discuss projects with builders and architects. The company started as a general contracting business for custom residential houses in the 70’s. Tamlin’s building experience has allowed it to diversify into one of the premier log home and timber frame manufacturers in Canada. The company continues to develop its unique “Milled Log Home” and “Timber Frame” home packages that highlight our west-coast use of Douglas Fir, western red cedar, spruce and pine softwoods. Tamlin has a complete range of owner-build and general contracting services to meet your needs. Our project experience has been diverse and we manage every project “hands-on” to make sure our clients are satisfied throughout the entire building process. Tamlin’s house packages are shipped all across Canada – from British Columbia through the prairies and into Ontario. Our specialty is customizing log buildings and shipping to remote areas or out of province, where our “package” concept is perfect. Locally in the Vancouver area, we also build commercial buildings, recreational facilities and residential homes.

“Given that most people only build a house once or twice in their lifetime our goal is to provide a system that simplifies processes, saves time and makes the best use of available resources. We achieve this by combining the benefits of pre-cut, pre-fit and pre-made factory components, within a highly customized house design. Then we provide the project management expertise to put everything together smoothly and efficiently, one house at a time.” Paul has over two decades of experience in sales and marketing, management and operations in the custom packaged homes industry. He enjoys the diversity of communication amongst both domestic and international clients and he thrives on getting projects off the ground, but most of all he just likes dealing with people. Paul has been the Sales and Marketing Director for Tamlin homes since 1995 and has been a partner since 2003.

“My objective on each project is to balance the practical and functional aspects of each house project with the overall design and budget. Our technical knowledge in so many unique areas of timber frame and log construction enables us to communicate with engineers, architects and builders – with the objective of coming up with the best design and material solutions for each project. Of key importance is continually defining, clarifying and keeping each of our clients objectives in front of us all the time.” With over 20 years of hands-on design, engineering and architectural expertise and a patient open minded attitude, Chris has what it takes to manage a diverse range of projects requiring careful thought, precision, an unbiased interpretation of what clients are looking for – and creating a highly personalized approach to designing projects. Chris has been head of Tamlin design and engineering since 1996 and became a partner in 2003.

Design, Construction Services Registered HPO Warranty Builder in BC

Tamlin’s professional design, engineering and architectural staff will take your project from “conceptual” ideas to final construction permit and construction plans. We then deliver the materials and prefabricated timber and wall components right to your building site. Some clients choose to be their own “general contractor” for construction, while others prefer to have Tamlin manage the construction to “weather tight lock-up” with our sub-trades who are supervised by one of our trained project managers. For those requiring a full service general contractor, Tamlin is also licensed to build in British Columbia and we are registered under the HOME WARRANTY (HPO) program, to offer a complete house construction service. Outside of the province of BC, Tamlin has a network of qualified builders to arrange building crews for your project…
