Manufactured Stair System- Tamlin Log Cabins
Tamlin’s pre-made wood stair system is one of the highlights of your log home. We design and manufacture each stair system to fit right into each of our plans and this reduces the cost and time of installation on site.
Our most popular pre-manufactured stair system is our “solid tread, open riser” Douglas Fir stairs which are pre-made at the factory. The stringers (solid wood structural members on the sides of the stairs) and the solid wood treads (horizontal wood slabs) are carefully constructed, sanded and fastened together using mortise and tenon joinery and/or hidden fasteners. The stair system can be customized with Douglas Fir handrail, wrought iron spindles or your own personal choice of finishing. Tamlin offers several “levels” of Douglas Fir stairs depending upon your preferences and budget. Our pre-made custom stair components are easy to assemble on site and are a significant cost savings over traditional stair systems.
